Special Recognition - New Flooring & School Supplies

We were so excited here at the Shelter to see our new flooring put down in our Child Enrichment Center.  This new flooring was donated through a grant by Home Depot Foundation.  We were very lucky to have our long time Board Member, Phillip Hall, and special friends from Mattress Max install this flooring for us.

Over several days they worked tirelessly to lay this beautiful floor.  This makes clean up so much easier in the building that houses our art room, play room and administrative offices.

We want to give a special THANK YOU to these guys for volunteering their time and talents.!!

A big Shout Out goes to the staff and residents of Eden Terrace Senior Living.  They did a cupcake sale and school supply drive for the Shelter. They raised over $300 and collected a ton of supplies!!!  These are just a few pictured at left.

The residents were so much fun and told us how much they enjoyed making their cakes and cupcakes.  One resident's Mother told me,

"I helped my Mom make her cake, then I ended up buying it back for $50!!"

It's all for a good cause, our children at the Shelter!!

We hope to have our kids visit the residents soon to give them a personal thank you!!

This is one of the sweet residents that helped raise money for the Shelter.
